Waves Series

The Waves series is a spin-off from the Moiré Pattern series, retaining its sinuous and smoothly spaced line gratings but applying them differently, overlaying them crosswise or playing with line thickness.

Some patterns in this series (for example the Wavy Squares pattern below) actually have only straight lines but obtain their waviness from the spacing of these parallel lines.

The most interesting designs in this series are again those that feature emergent patterns evoking forms that are not actually there, like the apparent spheres in Wavy Pods – Aegean blue spheres below.
