The Gallery
The Gallery offers you a number of preprocessed images which are ready to download. Some of them are patterns I use in my behavioural experiments to train and test the bees, others were designed to test B-EYE, and finally there are a few more realistic scenes as well. (The bee and spider pictures originate from the Smithsonian Institution.) Each image can be retrieved as the original, the projection onto a hemisphere (an intermediate stage in the processing; for an explanation see Program Description) or the final output, ie. the View through a bee's eye.
The parameters used for the processing of each image were chosen to produce interesting outputs. If you want to choose your own parameters, the Submit page allows you to do so. *
B-EYE uses only grey scale images. One reason for this is that very few of the patterns I use for my experiments contain colours. Another reason is that the bee's colour perception is quite different from ours.
